Dany Franchi is one of the most talented young guitarists and vocalists in Italy today.
Born in 1990, Dany grew up with the guitar under his fingers. In 2008, he received his music degree at CPM in Milan, one of the most prestigious music schools in Italy, and started his professional music career immediately.
In 2011, Dany won the Blues for Youth Award, as one of the best young talents on the Italian Blues scene.
He released his first solo album, “Free Feeling”, in 2012. It features Blues artists such as Guitar Ray, of Italy, and Internationally acclaimed guitarist, Sean Carney, of Ohio. The CD has earned lots of great reviews and press.
In February 2014, Dany traveled to the United States, playing in several different venues on the East Coast. He recorded his second album ” I Believe”, while in Cadiz, Ohio(Tony’s Treasures), under the production of Sean Carney.
Dany’s style is rich in nuances but his main influences come from Blues and rock guitar masters such as, BB King, Ronnie Earl, Anson Funderburgh, Jimmie and SR Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Albert King, and Jimmy Rogers.
Dany has toured all over Europe, sharing the stage with great artists such as, Popa Chubby, Kirk Fletcher, Sonny Rhodes, Otis Grand, Michael Burks, Jonn Del Toro Richardson, and of course the great Sean Carney.
Dany’s Band is the Dany Franchi Band, with Dany on vocals and Guitar, Michael Tabarroni, Italy, on Bass, and Brandon Pettiford, of Ohio, on Drums.
In January, 2016, the band advanced to the semi-final round at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.
After this Dany was invited to play at the Dallas International Guitar Festival in 2016, one of the biggest guitar shows in the world, sharing the stage with big names like Robben Ford, Eric Gales, Sonny Landreth, Johnny Hiland, Samantha Fish and many others.
